Actaeon
04:34
|
|||
Through the branches of the laurel tree,
Through the parted branches, oh the things he sees.
One nymph loosens Diana's golden hair
'Til the shining waves fell on her shoulders bare.
The other unties her soft dress of white,
'Til her forest bath became his sweet delight.
Actaeon, the peeping Tom, got turned into a frightened stag.
Actaeon, one gaze too long, got eaten by his own dogs.
Now picture a vision, the most tempting sight.
You turn from there and you run with fright!
For when the moons whisper speaks in tongues,
With the moon's whisper, the darkness comes.

Hang Loose
03:58
|
|||
Our labor of love, to push and to shove,
Have you had enough?
No, let's fuss and let's fight.
You fed me a line. I took it to heart.
We were thicker than thieves, and now we crumble apart.
No one, no one, no one can deny
That we rulers, we rulers of the night,
But if you'll be my love, if you'll be my love,
My labor of love, we hang loose but we tight.
Have you had it rough? You don't want to fight?
Girl, you'll think it's enough as I bark and I bite.
Let's just pretend we're not crossing the line,
Can you comprehend a better use of our time.
I don't, I don't, I don't want to go,
But you're insistent as I'm telling you so.
If you'll be my love, if you'll be my love,
My labor of love, we hang loose but we tight.
No one, no one, no one can deny
That we rulers, we rulers of the night,
But if you'll be my love, my labor of love
Girl, you'll think it's enough as I tighten your cuff.

Relative Ease
04:56
|
|||
People want to stand for something that they can just believe,
But they cannot avoid suggestion, avoid the noise.
People want to go somewhere they can just applaud.
But they don't have the simplest question,
Until they feel their breathe gone.
I just want to breathe with relative ease:
The in and out disease.
People want to spend their money on the frivolous.
But it's a hit or miss endeavor,
Unless you're especially clever.
People want to die for something that they can never use.
They cannot explain the reason, nor the rhyme.
People want to find solace deep within their souls,
But I don't have that much ambition,
Only a simple mission.
I just want to breathe with relative ease:
The in and out disease.

Taffy

Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a thief,
Taffy came to my house and stole a piece of beef,
When I went to Taffy's house, Taffy wasn't in,
I jumped upon his Sunday hat and poked it with a pin.
Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a sham,
Taffy came to my house and stole a leg of lamb,
When I went to Taffy's house, Taffy was away,
I stuffed his socks with sawdust and I filled his shows with clay.
Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a cheat,
Taffy came to my house and stole a piece of meat,
When I went to Taffy's house, Taffy was in bed,
I took my marrowbone and hit him on the head.
Taffy stole it away.
Taffy's at the end of his days.
